// a thought, even a possibility, can shatter and transform us.//

I had to do a huge philosophy project for my Gifted Learning Strategies class on a philosopher. I was lucky enough to be given Friedrich Nietzsche, who I knew nothing about at the time. After a lot of reading and preparing my presentation, I’ve come to find that I love this man, he is like a God. He was a firm believer in confidence and truth, as am I. He introduced to me Amor Fati. The essence of Amor Fati is that we must learn the joy of sacrificing for the life of the species, because we have no choice in the matter, for the continuance of life that is both ours and not ours: the life of the whole of which we are a part.
